Alicia Hyland

I grew up in the Appalachian region of East Tennessee.  Everyone there is a story teller.  Learning to read was learning to tell stories.  There was not a distinction made between reading a story and telling your own.  As a result, I was allowed to read, write and perform without ever realizing that they were separate endeavors.
